Illegal to Transport - a car?

I was in Illinois and had to get to Idaho. My parents were helping me pick out a car to buy, and I bought it, but never even saw it before heading to the airport. I had to get to the airport quickly because my boyfriend's mom had bought us airline tickets for that night. I was frustrated that I couldn't just drive my car to Idaho instead of taking a plane.

Apparently, I hired a man my mom knew to drive the car from Illinois to Idaho.

When I got to Idaho, I stayed with my parents (how they got there, I have no idea), my brother, and my boyfriend. My mom had a baby doll that she was treating like a baby. When we got to the house, it was evening, and there was a mafia guy outside of the house who was asking questions about my car. He was driving a big van that was really nice inside. He pulled my brother out of the house and was questioning him pretty meanly. I ran outside with the baby doll and was crying telling him that it was my fault because I had hired someone to transport the car (apparently it was illegal the way I had done it). I told him I was sorry and that I didn't realize it was illegal. I asked what I could do, and he said I had to call some dude and get his permission and then he and would go back to Illinois and get my car for the price of gas with no markup.

I walked back inside still holding the baby doll and happy to not have to deal with the mafia guy anymore... knowing that (hopefully) I would get my car soon.

Marathon of Dreams (not to be confused with a dream of a marathon)

The other night, I had an entire series of totally unrelated dreams. They were all super-weird.

It started out with me in a video game; it was kinda ridiculous, but there I was walking around with a couple guys in  this long hallway. There were tubes on the ground, and this other guy crawled out of the tube and tried to grab our ankles. In my dream, I knew it was the real-life version of Mario Bros. (I guess I was the Princess?). It was just weird.

Then I was walking in a dark creepy neighborhood. Someone else was with me. Once again, we were in a hallway, but it was supposed to be an alley. I guess it was enclosed, though, because it was filled with water. Even though we were in water, we were able to walk, and we were trying to get away from a shark. I entered a building (that didn't have water in it... but the water didn't gush in when I opened the door - apparently physics does not exist in my dreams) just in time to escape its bite. Then the water and shark disappeared, and I was still in the creepy neighborhood, but a house had just recently burnt down. I went to look at the damage and was afraid that I was going to get jumped or something. When I finally got to the location, I saw the spot where the home had been. Next door was a family that I knew. I said hello and saw a pile of my stuff in their living room. They had had it for some reason and now wanted to get rid of it. It was all stuff that I wanted, but I had no idea how to get it to where I lived because I had no car.

I only remember a portion of the next one. I was in a car with a guy and a girl who were dating. I was sitting in the backseat. We were trying to find something (not sure what) and we were lost but having fun along the way. The street we were driving on was incredibly colorful and brightly lit.

The last dream was the most stressful of all of them (yes even the shark one). I showed up to my wedding dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. My friend Kristina was trying to solve some catering emergency, and I went upstairs to change. I was already late, and my hair and makeup were a mess. I changed into my dress, looked in the mirror and cried because my hair was tangled and my makeup was not done. I frantically put on some mascara and brushed my teeth and hair to make myself semi-presentable even though I was by now very late for the wedding. When I walked downstairs, nobody was there, and I remembered that the wedding was taking place somewhere else (why they were all there before, I have no idea) so I walked outside. There was a long dirt path that led up a hill. I knew where I was going, but I also knew it was far away and worried about keeping people waiting. I was stressed out about being so late to my own wedding.

Dreams Remembered: The Little Girl

I was walking with my boyfriend along a beach. There were beautiful cliffs to my left, and the ocean was lapping at the sand to my right. The sun was warm on my skin, and his hand held mine tightly as we watched a little girl running in the water. She was about three years old with long curly brown hair. She laughed as the ocean spray hit her chubby cheeks and turned back to look at us - spinning in her soaked sundress. I had never seen anyone so happy, and I had never been so happy.

We had climbed down naturally-hewn steps in the cliffs about a mile back and had been walking along this perfect white-sanded beach for almost an hour, stopping occasionally to inspect seashells or laugh and run around.

As I was watching this little girl, I looked to my right, and saw a huge wave on the horizon. I pointed it out to my boyfriend and ran to pick up the little girl. I looked back in desperation at the mile we had come. I could barely see the stairs in the distance; I knew we would never make it.

And so, with no equipment and no experience, I began climbing the cliff wall. My boyfriend climbed beside me, and the little girl clung to my neck, wedged between my body and the cliff face. I climbed and climbed and climbed, and woke up before we ever reached the top.

Why Dreamy Discourse?

The first blog post is always the weirdest one to write so I'm going to keep this one pretty simple.

I have very vivid dreams every other night (on average). Sometimes they are scary; sometimes they are profound; and sometimes they are straight-up weird, but they all have one thing in common - they are definitely interesting.

I'm sure that you either 1) have incredibly vivid dreams OR (more likely) 2) have a friend who has incredibly vivid dreams. For those of you who fall in the first category, I invite you to share your own dreamy discourses in the comments, especially if you have had similar dreams in the past. For those of you in the second category, come enjoy the crazy stories my brain makes up. Trust me, you'll enjoy the ride. :)

Thanks,
Bobbie
